Dear Reader,

It's Independence Day in the states. Barbecues, fireworks, and anxious dogs abound. I hope all who celebrate will enjoy a carefree weekend. For those of us who are of the bookish sort, I hope you find time to sneak away from the festivities and enjoy a grand tale within the pages of an excellent book.

Reading is definitely a form of self care. Turning the pages of a print book or listening to an audiobook can help reduce screen time, too. I always think of reading fiction as a guilty pleasure, but I'm working toward reframing it into a more healthy concept.

This year to celebrate the holiday and my improved relationship with stories, I wanted to share my latest project, the Shadowed Dreams Miniseries, with you. It's out of order, but you didn't really expect the muse to do things properly, did you?

The first tale in the Shadowed Dreams Miniseries is Still Waters. This story has been published for quite a while, but it lacked a home to be a part of the Draoithe Saga for all my subscribers to have access. This summer, I'm correcting the issue.

I have added the character art, the audio chapters, and the extra videos for Still Waters. The landing page will change as I create the art for the stories to follow it, but I feel as if I'm making good on my promise to my subscribers to read it ALL as I write, edit, and publish stories in the dream. I will add more new miniseries before summer ends, and I will make a few minor adjustments to the existing miniseries.

Be on the lookout for updated after party videos, timelines, and previously from pages summarizing the tale just before the one you read next adding into miniseries, even those whose stories have concluded. The goal is to offer a grand digital experience for all my subscribers. With that, I will add a few more loose items to the Draoithe Saga soon.

Behind the Scenes

As I write this missive, Eternal Love has posted 21 of 29 chapters to the Valkyrie Riders Miniseries. There are videos and the audio extras to add, and of course I still must write the dreaded back cover story description and add in the character introductions, but this book is still on track to publish by mid-July.

Last week, you got a sneak peek at Halvor Lyting. So this week I wanted to share a sneak peek at Chloe Zinderfell. I'm excited to share Ember and Flower's story with you. I think you will love them as much as I do.

It may seem strange, but I'm kind of sad. Eternal Love wraps up the Valkyrie Riders Miniseries. It has been so much fun to pull back the curtain and let you see into the lives of the grey dragons of Draoithe. They have a serious role yet to play, but when Eternal Love makes its way onto the digital book shelf, it will end the in-depth personal stories of the grey dragons. I promise, you haven't seen the last of these fire breathing knight protectors.

What's next for the summer?

Druid Dominion. It's time we met a few more characters from the medieval bestiaries as first order immortal shifters and a few things I dreamed up. We have to learn more about the black bears who helped Fox and Melody and discover just how large a net the magic intends to cast in its attempt to preserve itself. There will be at least 5 titles in Druid Dominion.

First, I'll create the Crimson Dragon Miniseries to post Ruler of the Mind. It's long past the time when that story became part of the Draoithe Saga for the subscribers as well.

I'm still hoping to publish Druid Dragon from the Lyons Gate Miniseries around mid-August. And I want to set up the Eagle Lords and Dread Desire miniseries before I return to the day job.

Last, I want to create a few more bundles and add a few more character art products to OpheliaKee.com before I must return to work and things slow back to a crawl once again. I suppose I'm hopeful I can publish and organize enough of the dream that my old and new readers may enjoy the experience, at least until the Thanksgiving break.
