Sneak Peek at Big Bad Wolf
The following events take place during the early summer of 2016 and run concurrently with the events recorded in Druid Fox.
Luke
Luke looked at Eli. That thing with the dream talking you came up with is pure genius. Do you think it will work on others?
Eli seemed puzzled.
I think it worked on Javier because we know him, and also because he has magic. We need to test it out more. If anyone could do it, if it was something that could be taught, it would be extremely valuable to the pack.
You’re amazing. Shall we wander our future home?
Luke held his hand out to her. Eli took it, and they walked hand in hand as they toured their grounds. It didn’t matter if hand holding was juvenile. The feeling of the connection between them made it important to Luke.
Of course, Eli leaned down and touched the water. She was a tiger. They were cats that liked water. She was an excellent swimmer in both her human and her feline forms. The water in the lake was going to be warm enough to swim in by Memorial Day.
The retreat was coming together nicely. Luke could see the outline of his original vision. Eli was excited to think that it was going to be hers and Luke’s home. He could feel that excitement in the link between them.
She was keeping her house for Olivia and Monty. Ever since she met Luke, her life had altered dramatically, and she loved it. It was as if he gave her a new existence. There was no question his life had changed dramatically because of her.
After a bit, they walked back to the car and headed for home. Dinner for six was in order. They had responsibilities to attend to, even if he could have just stayed on the land forever.
Luke was cooking. Fox and the company would be hungry. Shifters could eat.
He studied Eli as he drove. He still couldn’t believe how beautiful she was. Just looking at her, smelling shade in the summer, and hearing her voice made him crazy.
It wasn’t getting better. It was more intense. He needed her. He might never truly explain it or even survive without her.
Eli Miller was everything. Luke had to have her, keep her, and protect her. Building the pack was the best way to do that. After what happened Friday night, his need to protect her weighed on him.
He couldn’t control the dream. Luke could control a small piece of it. He would never again allow her to be hurt as she had been.
She had to be safe. That she was a shifter and healed rapidly physically didn’t change the trauma. Adding Artie and Fox as pack mates was a good place to start.
Thank you for your support! Welcome to the dream… Sincerely, -OK
